How many ziplines are included on this tour?
This course consists of 7 ziplines, 10 platforms and an aerial suspension bridge. The lines vary in length and height, ranging from 100 ft tall to 800 ft long. You are always clipped in to our dual cable system or safety line attached to the tree while you are out on the course. There are 2 guides to every group and they are with you throughout the entire tour.
What makes this zipline tour different than others around Alaska?
Our beautiful location at Eaglecrest Ski Area is what truly sets us apart from other zipline tours. The thick, lush sub-alpine rainforest, panoramic mountain views and rushing streams offer the perfect setting for a zipline adventure. Other cool features include our uniquely designed, fully enclosed treehouse platforms and guide-operated braking. Our platforms provide a smooth landing and comfortable handrails, and our no-hand braking style of zipping allows guests of all ages and abilities to participate.
Is it possible to watch without going on the tour?
Yes, guests are welcome to observe their family and friends without having to zip themselves. They can ride-along, take pictures as everyone zips away from the first platform, relax in our cozy lodge, enjoy a beer on the back deck, watch loved ones zip back in, participate in the axe toss and meet the group back at the end of the tour. Complimentary Wifi is available while you wait. A minimal fee is charged for a ride-along. Please contact us if you wish to have an Observer added to your reservation.
Do you operate in the rain?
We zip rain or shine! And it is just as fun and safe zipping in the rain. Rain jackets will be provided at the start of the tour and we recommend guests dress warm and in layers if the weather is cooler, rainy or windy.
Can my 16 year old go zipping without a parent?
All children and minors under 18 years old must be accompanied on the tour by a parent or legal guardian and Minor Liability Waiver signed. All guests must sign a waiver at the beginning of the tour before participating.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full payment is taken at the time of booking and reservations in advance are recommended as tour space can be limited depending on the time of year. If you need to cancel a reservation please contact us. Cancellations requested 2 weeks before your tour departure are eligible for a full refund. Any cancellations after the 2 weeks will be subject to a 20% cancellation fee. Any cancellations made within 24 hours or "no-shows" are non-refundable. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing refunds back to your credit card.
Customers will be refunded or credited in the case of operator cancellation due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
What level of ability is needed?
No prior experience is needed to zip with us! The design of our tour and course is accessible to a wide range of people, abilities and ages. Guests must be able to walk a short well-maintained trail at the start and end of the tour and climb up 50 steps to reach the first platform. There are two practice ziplines that are shorter and lower to the ground that participants can try before heading up to the main course. You will not be required to "hand brake" to slow yourself down, so you can spend more time enjoying the tour and leave your safety to your highly trained guides.
This tour is great for all levels of ability from thrill-seekers to first-timers, those conquering a fear of heights or checking this off their bucket-list, old and young and those with special needs. Can I drive to your location?
Transportation is included in the cost of the tour and we meet all departures downtown outside of the Mt Roberts Tramway. However, if you have a personal vehicle or have rented a car for the day you can drive to meet the group up at the lodge. Our location is at Eaglecrest Ski Area 3000 Fish Creek Road. Please contact us if you choose to not to take our shuttle and wish to drive yourselves so we can make a note in your reservation. This information is also provided in your confirmation letter at the time of booking.
